ABOUT
Gabriel Harrison
Gabriel Harrison was born and raised near Bellingham, Washington. He attended Western Washington University and in 2004 earned his undergraduate degree in History and Political Science. He first began working for the immigrant community as a volunteer at Sterling Meadows, a housing community created to address the needs of local migrant workers and their families.
Gabe later traveled to Guaymas, Mexico to teach English and to work on his Spanish language skills. In Mexico, he heard firsthand countless tales of woe and frustration suffered as a result of the United States’ immigration system. One year later he entered The University of Oregon Law School determined to study immigration and eventually help those whose lives were being impacted by U.S. immigration policy.
While in law school, Gabe spent his summers and winters interning at Cascadia Cross Border Law, a well established and highly respected immigration firm in Bellingham, Washington. As an intern, Gabe was introduced to a wide range of immigration issues, including but not limited to removal relief, various business immigration matters, border rights issues, and Latino rights movements in Whatcom County.
Gabe graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2012.
Upon passing the bar exam, Gabe worked at Robbins Law, an immigration law firm located in Yakima, Washington. His work consisted primarily of family immigration issues, Deferred Action applications, U-Visa preparation, and issues relating to removal relief and inadmissibility. After careful consideration, Gabe decided to return home to serve the migrant community that had inspired his journey abroad and through law school. He opened his own firm in December of 2013 in Mount Vernon, Washington.
Gabe enjoys being a father and husband, playing basketball and softball, golf, travel, politics, gardening, and writing.
